Microfiber cloth is constructed of very thin fibers. For the highest quality cleaning applications, each of these fibers is then split into ultra-fine individual filaments that are at least 1/100th the diameter of a human hair.

Splitting the microfiber increases the surface area, creating microscopic hooks that capture and remove unwanted material at a microscopic level, making them highly effective for cleaning.

Under high magnification, a single split-microfiber appears in the shape of a star or asterisk.
